A good compromise would be to make one channel for literally anything, and one for anything butt metaphysics. Then also have the metaphysics channel for specific talk.

You give them a bit, they'll take it all. I don't think allowing meta in general is a good idea as tulpa.info is primarily a psychological based community. Despite that, I believe it's a situational thing that doesn't seem to have any real boundaries. It's hard to enforce what is and isn't reasonable/ridiculous as it's all subjective, and then things will become muddled to the point where it's impossible to moderate and have differing opinions without getting shunned upon. A clear case example of the subjectiveness of meta is the #general-chat incident where Piano believed that the discussion was metaphysics despite being theology.
